TOWING MIRRORS SOLVED!!!

After several brands purchased then returned, I have a solution that works, extends the mirrors quite a long way for towing a camper, and still allows the mirror to self fold without banging into the door. I’m so excited!

MIL-2912 Grand Aero 4 Towing Mirror - Pair

Bought from Amazon:
Amazon.com

Here is a quick picture of the box and a picture of the left mirror after I installed it. The mirrors swivels into various positions, and feels very secure.

Please note that in my original post I had listed what I thought Amazon sent. But i have since gotten several other versions and had to return them. The only one that fit well is this 2912 one:

good lord i hope they're functional because... they are not visually appealing haha. I have yet to tow, but generally it's only an open trailer with a vehicle on it. I am crossing my fingers I won't need them =P

They don’t need to be all that visually appealing, as they don’t stay permanently attached. You just use them when you’re carrying a trailer that’s wider than the vehicle., So you can see to change lanes and you don’t get a ticket.

Not cheap? I guess. Under $200 doesn’t strike me as much of a problem for a $80,000 vehicle, towing an expensive camper!

I don’t have any report on wind noise because I haven’t used these on the road yet, but it doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters to me here is that I can see around the trailer, and that the mirrors are stable enough that they don’t shake and fall off at speed.

These mirrors look like they will do the trick. I also have the aero platinum’s on order, and will compare those.

I ordered them, I need something soon. Let us know how the platinum ones are.

I apologize for any confusion. I had ordered several models and was confused in my original post as to which one worked. Furthering the confusion, what was sent to me was a different model than what Amazon thinks I ordered. Looking at the package, this is what I actually got that worked:
