Tundra Recall Press Release July 25

Looks like toyota just put out a press release saying they will replace about 100000 engines in 2022/2023 Tunda models. Has any one been able to find any evidence that this recall wont affect the gx550?

I read an article on the issue. The problem was due to the engine blocks not being cleared of all of the metal chips after machining. The LX600 was a part of this issue. The GX550's are not.

You are correct. This has been discussed here in other threads.

Its engine debris but also not enough clearance on the main bearing. They “quietly” discontinued the bearing that is having all the issues in April of 2024, just before GX’s were built
