Greetings from north eastern Oklahoma. My GX Premium is at the Port of Jacksonville awaiting delivery to the North Miami dealership.
Initially I was shocked at the lengthy wait times and number of folks on a wait list however, I think the GX550 is one of the best values in luxury SUV's. Some dealers are adding a lot of "blue sky" to the invoice and many will not sell to out of state customers. $80K for a Tahoe or Lincoln...ah, no!
The GX will be replacing a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Subaru Forester. Occasionally I'll be towing my small Lund fishing boat.
We will probably have it transported rather than fly / drive it back to OK.

Just took delivery! Flew down to LA and drove back up. Happy camper here.

Why not get the OT if you’re going to fit off road gear, lift etc. on the GX? Don’t you want the rear dif and E-KDSS? Would not even consider taking a Luxury with wheels that big off road.
Have a look at NYTop they have some cool front and rear bumper replacements you might like.
New 550 Owner as of last Sunday - Been on a waiting list for 15 months in GA and then found one in Miami 
. A flight down and a 9-hour drive back and the wait is over. Westcott leveling kit is next, tires, and then wrestling with what color to powder coat the premium + wheels. Thx for all the help this forum has already been.

Picked up mine in August after dealer called and told me if I could get into the shop within 40 minutes, I could get an unallocated Incignito OT. Have been lurching on this site for the past 3 months until I went on vacation for Thanksgiving week which gave me an opportunity to start posting.
I’ve made a few mods, much appreciation to the members who helped me quietly make certain decisions. Photos Forthcoming.
I’m a fly fisherman who can’t fish all that often for the trout I love to catch in the Houston, TX area but have some parts on the way to make bespoke rod holders for the OT. Once installed, I hope to compete for 550 of the month, but seeing some recent submissions I may have a bit to go.

Jackson Here. I just discovered this forum and stoked to see a bunch of GX owners and GX related info. My wife and I took delivery of our Earth GX550 Overtrail in October. It's about as basic as it gets with the only "upgrades" being a moon roof delete and a cool box. I've been around the Landcruiser and Toyota realms for a long time and this is my first personal GX. It replaced our Slee'd LC200

Hey all, new member here from Santa Barbara County California. I traded in my wife’s 2023 GX460 as soon as the right GX550 became available. She had a 2011 4Runner prior, loved it so naturally she fell in love with gx550. We got very lucky with the purchase and scored Prem+ in caviar
I’m a car guy and garage mechanic. Have/had a 32 Ford Tudor Sedan and a 67 Bronco in the garage…however 550 has taken their parking spot.
Lastly I just wrapped up the Westcott Designs lift yesterday. Knocked it out in driveway with tall jacks stands/floor jack. If anyone is DIY going this route, I’m happy to help answer any questions or post/send a video.

Hello from San Diego! I got my GX550 OT+ in July, now clocks in at 7800 miles. Replacing my old daily 4Runner, this GX is far more comfortable on-road, and also off-road, making long trips a joy. Looking forward to putting on some off-road mods, putting some posts and hitting more trails!
