As the title says. Day 3. Just got home an hour or so ago. Went to start it up, nothing. Electronics come on, but that’s it. Glad it happened today and not during our vacation tomorrow
Anyone played around with the different driving modes and MPG? Obviously sport/sport+ should be the worst, but I’ve been driving around in comfort and it’s been smooth as butter and found MPGs to be a tad better than normal. Still breaking it in though
I was sold and waiting on the black interior but once I saw this in person, it was a no brainer. I love it. Not as light or white/beige as I thought it would be.
Picked up my Atomic Silver OT over the weekend. Had a bit of a drive home (~300 miles) and enjoyed every minute of it. The nubby tires caused some vibration early on but as I got home, it was buttery smooth. Trying to find my sweet spot with all the driving modes, but enjoying the tinkering...
Finally got word on mine- built 5/20, arrived at port today and expecting delivery 7/13.
Atomic OT w/ sunroof. Looks like I skated past the 56 day hold.
Answered my own question. All 3 of the main Lexus dealers around me are systems down for the second day. So if your sales person is ghosting you- that could be why
I think the big question we don’t know the answer to yet is- are the units that are being built AFTER the hold was put in place fixed/was the issue addressed or are they shipping and addressing at the port. What a mess
What is the typical timeline?
Dealer is given/confirms their allocation of a certain model…then X days later it moves into production. Y days later it ships. It’s on a boat for Z days. And then hits the port where these are currently being held up. What does that timeline usually
Look like?
Nothing more to the story. I was honestly a little offended with the sales man trying to give me the sob story of them only charging MSRP.
I walked. I have my name on other lists that aren’t playing these games (I confirmed after this call)
Dealer got my vehicle in today. But when they called they said they are requiring a min. 6 month loan and then buyer can pay it off. Wild. That was not communicated when we put the deposit down.
I’m going to add to the confusion here- our dealer called and let us know about the hold but mentioned it had to do with some electrical/technology that needed to be fixed so I’m not sure anyone knows at this point…
What’s the recommended break-in procedure? Can anyone send a snapshot of the user manual if it mentions it? Asking because I have one coming in, but the dealer is 300 interstate miles away. It would be super annoying to drive 45 the whole way home with it lol
Has anyone had experience with or considered the continental terraincontact ATs? Thinking that would be a good balance on this trim with a more aggressive tire that holds up better on the road.
