I did try tonight on my way home, and it appears that if you use standard cruise mode, it leaves the gauges alone. If you use adaptive cruise mode, then it changes to the stark type 3 gauge style.

Yep, that’s how the system functions. I’m not sure of any way to change it, though I haven’t tried. It makes sense, though… when cruise is on, the car is controlling things. So tach is irrelevant, as is anything other than the set and current speed. It’ll still show the customized info elements...

Were you using cruise? That will make the tach disappear and will simplify the display.

It’s not known when the update will be available, but their updates are available either OTA or can be performed manually once released. I just keep my system in permanent dark mode.

Being able to use the app to lock/unlock/start your car isn’t digital key (those are just remote functions). Digital key is the ability to use your phone as a key. No fob or card required. You can walk up to the car, unlock it, start it, and go just like you had your fob on you.

The SmartAccess card key comes with the digital key option. You won’t have it if your car doesn’t have this option. The digital key option also gives you the ability to use your phone as a key via the Lexus app.

That’s hilarious. I had mine set to always since having it as “while using app” had a persistent location live activity displaying on my iPhone and it was super annoying, changing to always removes that. Oddly enough, I also have the Android version of the app set to always and search works...
