San Diego is MSRP with added $3k for ceramic, Xpel, and tint. Last I spoke to them they said they don’t do reservations. They’re on a first come, first serve basis.
Hi Dr. Bob. Would you mind sharing the details of your transaction? I live in LA as well and if I can work out a deal like yours I would pull the trigger.
If you really want to sell it, why don’t you post it here in the marketplace for a reasonable price close to msrp? Maybe someone who doesn’t want to wait will want to deal. Worst case scenario is that you don’t sell it here.
I was able to find a SoCal dealer that is at MSRP, but they have $3K of add-ons for ceramic coating, tint, and Xpel. Next best was at a $5K markup, which I turned down and they said "throw out an offer". I turned that down again.
I've been on the Longo list who's at MSRP without add-ons...
Agreed. However, any given two overtrails are supposed to ride exactly the same. If they don’t, then at the very least the dealership can’t deny it’s an issue and chalk it up to “it’s just a characteristic of this model”.
Didn't read through the entire thread so not sure if this has been suggested yet, but if we're lucky enough, would someone with a non-vibrating GX be willing to meet up with someone with a vibrating GX and drive them back to back? Then maybe take those two vehicles to the dealership to show...
Can’t speak to the options as they’re a personal choice, but you will see the delivery, processing, and handling fee on every new vehicle. I don’t think there’s any way around it unless you negotiate a lower price.
For anyone interested, Longo has 3 GXs listed as in “In Stock”. Their other ~60 show as “Sale Pending” so I’m guessing the 3 are unspoken for. Longo is an MSRP dealer as well.

Agreed. If anyone is itching to get into a GX, people are often dropping out of their allocations. My salesperson texted me a couple weeks ago about an incognito prem+ at MSRP. Passed since I’m waiting for an OT. With where I am on the waitlist, I would be getting mine early to mid-2025 if I...
Would that depend on the wheel design then? Not doubting your claim, but maybe some aftermarket wheels fitting the GX might have wider holes for the lugs nuts?
Not a stupid question. Everyone has to start somewhere and you would never have known this if you’ve never purchased a set of aftermarket wheels. They do not come with lug nuts. However, you can reuse the stock lug nuts most of the time.
Well, I forgot to add I had a ton of issues when selling the car because the DMV still had issues with the info in their system at the time.
Thanks. It was in incredibly crappy experience at the time, but it makes for a good story now. Haha.
Just some anecdotal info for anyone considering purchasing from another state and hasn't been through the process. It was a nightmare. I live in LA and bought a Tacoma from Portland. I had to weigh and smog the car even though it was brand new. I couldn't register the car for months because...
If they add a prepayment penalty on the loan then paying it off immediately might not make sense. But if they don’t, paying it off the next day is a good idea.
Yup, Longo is a good, no hassles dealership. I've purchased a Tacoma from them and put my deposit down for the GX a few days ago. However, since they're one of the only SoCal dealerships that don't mark up their vehicles, their waitlist is currently 500+ and an estimated wait time of 8-12...
