I would be taking delivery of my first Lexus vehicle next week. I thought I will go with GX550 O+ as my first Lexus. Got confirmation that it in port and to be delivered next week. My question is would make sense to but the following from dealer 1) Lexus Warranty Service plan 2) Warranty plan both for 6 years? I am not taking tire/wheel coverage or the dent plan. Appreciate feedback.

Give this a read - In my opinion, extended warranty through dealer is a good thing...but buy it at the right price, which is probably not your home dealer. I also bought the service plan because I'll end up saving thousands over the years. A few grand up front will save you probably double.

FYI.....We purchased a Lexus Extended Warranty for our Overtrail. This saved us with the IS 250. It is nice that the policy is refundable on sale of vehicle and also transferrable. Tip....contact Jerry Johnson (cell 620-664-8844) at jerry@midwestsuperstore.com for a discount on a Lexus Extended Warranty. Our 100K mile 6 yr plan was almost half of Lexus dealer offering. Check this site and the Toyota Landcruiser site for references on extended warranties. Troy Dietrich also sells Lexus extended warranties at a discount (tdietrich@toyotalofgreenfield.com)(413-775-6519) www.FD-warranty.com. It appears Jerry and Troy have found a back door to sell Lexus Extended Warranties.
