I accidentally found these little emblem lights on Amazon. Maybe kinda cheesy but I’m kinda digging the mountain scene for now. Very bright. Took me ten seconds to swap each. Plug and play. They work in rear passenger doors too, but I only did front. I wish I could turn the image projection on and off somehow.

lol. I ordered these as well. They are cheesy, but I think my kids would get a kick out of it. Good conversation starter.

Yeah, it's been less than 12 hours, and I think more and more that they are kind of hideous, but the child in me still loves them. My kids and wife thought they were cool. Got in the GX this morning and forgot about them and almost tripped over the dang projected light image on the ground because it's so bright. During the day on my whiter colored concrete driveway, you can hardly see it though.

I like the lights. I liked them so much I got the dinosaur ones for my kid for back doors. The stock lights are super dim!

I’m ordering them thanks for posting. I’m looking for brighter interior lights . Any suggestions?
I have not yet gone down that worm hole, but I ordered all my LED bulbs for my 4runner on superbrightleds.com. That was a really long time ago though, so I suspect there are "kits" that have all the bulbs ready to go, or there will be soon. If there are no kits, then you can just remove each bulb, and then buy a stronger/brighter one and you can also change the color temp of it.

I've used superbrightleds to change out the incandescent bulbs on 2 previous trucks and 1 car. They make a big difference, but I have had a few issues with them. They worked perfectly on my 2004 Land Rover. But one of the map light LEDs in my 2013 Rover wouldn't work in the passenger map light but it would work in the driver's side. Same with the driver's door puddle light. It would work on the passenger side and sometimes it would work on the driver's side. The 2013 also threw codes for the puddle lights but it didn't bring on a check engine light or affect anything else. My Porsche also doesn't like the center console LED and it strobes on & off sometimes.

Brighter LEDs in the four overhead interior locations in the GX550 would be welcome.

Good feedback on that. I do have one map light in the t4r that is way dimmer than the other, and didn't used to be. However, it's been like that for literally years LOL. All the rest have been working perfectly for probably 13 years and over 150k miles. So, not too shabby I suppose. I am very curious to see what options become available for the GX, ESPECIALLY for the rear cargo area.

I do recall sending one or two LEDs that didn't work out of the box back to superbright and they replaced them no questions asked.
