Enhancing basic storage in driver/passenger area

Hey All -- I have a new GX550 LUX+. We are coming off two GX460's. The lack of storage in the driver area is a bit frustrating, especially if you have the "cool box" that I predict will never get used.

I just bought a tray off eBay that fits the cool box (saw it in another post) and will reply when that arrives to give it a quick review.

In the meantime, I'm looking for what others have done to enhance their easy-access storage in the front area. I'm talking about basic stuff that we all use when making a long trip -- napkins, tissues, extra phone, sunglasses, reading glasses, charging cables, keys, hand lotion, chapstick. All the basic stuff that EASILY fit in the GX460 center consoler area without cluttering it up.

Anyone find a great "pocket storage" that fits between seat and center console? Any other storage ideas that won't "junk out" this new vehicle.

Thanks!

My logic going in, if and when I do use the cool box, I want to be quick and efficient in taking the all the 'stuff' out. Not one by one and then determining where it will be relocated.

With this, I am able to house a flashlight, head lamp, batteries, knife, multitool, multibit screwdriver, medium size Knipex plier wrench, cash/coins, usb cords, meds, ez pass, fuses, etc. Dimensions fill out the cool box nicely. It has handle on the end that you use to yank it out from cool box. Conveniently now, when I use my other vehicles I just take this with me.

I was just about to post the same topic. In my Tahoe center console I had a top organizer and probably 3 gallons of storage underneath housing wallet, keys, pocketknife, OBDII reader (hope not to need that here), binoculars, glasses cleaner and microfibers, and a host of other shit. I guess I'm looking at one of those ugly over the sun visor things?

Hopefully this thread produces some interesting options. Strewn over the passenger seat is the only thing I can see at this point. Maybe throw a tshirt over it when I leave.

I got this on AliExpress. I also have the center console tray for some other items but this is great for sunglasses.

This full thing fits in the coolbox?

I Simply use a small cardboard box that fits nicely within the Cool Box compartment and is easily removed with everything in it if/when I might want to actually use the Cool Box function.
