GX550 30 Day Stop Sale?

No clue. Was told it was in ā€œFā€ then it switched to ā€œFIā€.

Considering it was in ā€œFā€ on the boat and when it first got to port maybe ā€œFā€ is for freight? And then only me guessing here but ā€œIā€ could be ā€œinspectionā€ or as far Iā€™m concerned ā€œinterruptedā€. šŸ«¤

itā€™s difficult to understand how Lexus wonā€™t share an official word on problem and what measures are being taken to remedy

We just got some bad news that all GXā€™s are going to be delayed for up to 30 days for quality control. Iā€™m so sorry and I will keep you updated on everything I hear šŸ˜ž

Anyone else receiving this notification?
We were just notified alsoā€¦ hopefully not related to the V-6 main engine bearing issue that is affecting the Tundra / LX600 engines.

If it is related to the engine bearing - it's actually positive they are getting in front of it early. I had ordered a Grenadier that arrived in December '23 - they sadly never were able to get in front of any of their defects or issues (corporate just does not seem to care) which lead me to walking from that and waiting now for a GX OT+

Is there any indication whatsoever that it's related to a bearing problem?
 
My OT+ is still on the ship to east coast. First week of shipping it had no hold. As of Friday 5/24 it has a hold with ā€œNo, ETAā€ per dealer. I sat with my dealer Saturday morning and they are insistent they have ā€œZeroā€ information on why the hold and almost all units are being held. I asked directly about the sunroof, paint issues, etc. They stated over and over they have no information from Lexus and the only thing they are hearing are the same rumors we are hearing. This is our 4th Lexus from this dealer and I do believe them. They have no reason to not disclose the issue and hold. No word and speculation is far worse than Lexus/Toyota being upfront. This is a very bad business decision by Toyota/Lexus.

Do we know if any vehicle that was part of the hold has been released yet? I'm wondering if they are releasing in waves or paused to fix all until they release any of them.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out. It seems for every one person that says paint there are 10 that say sunroof. Then sitting with dealership they show me their internal emails discussing it and they have no info from Lexus, etc and they have meetings every morning and itā€™s discussed. Lexus needs to be transparent and clear up all the speculation which will take care of the ā€œhe said she said.ā€

I hope it's the paint protection issue or sunroof bc those seem to be easier less concerning fixes. Lexus's silence though makes me worry it is something else.

I can tell you since the hold started my dealership has had zero deliveries unless it was already on the truck to store and also no new allocations dropping in system from Japan.
 
Test drove a premium yesterday and my dealer showed my on his computer that my OT+ is in Japan either on the boat or at the port and they don't know exactly if this is QC or just have not been updated. Hope to know more in 2 / 3 weeks.

I vote that any deliveries past 6/1 be called 2025 models!
