GX550 30 Day Stop Sale?

Houston dealer, West Side, just texted me back (I texted him first and mentioned reading about cars being release in LB, CA.) He said, " they are being release but not moving yet". He is thinking "mid July" arrival. OT+ was in Long Beach QC for 3 to 4 weeks. I too have a beach trip the 3rd week of July so hope it arrives sooner.

I'm not sure it's that clear. There are absolutely Tundra engines failing that are outside of the recall dates, including 2024 model year vehicles as well as hybrid models. I don't think we really know yet exactly what this looks like. But maybe you have info that I haven't seen.
Just stating facts and not speculating.

Congrats ! When did yours arrive at port and put on QC hold ?
not sure of the actual build date, but my dealer sent me the allocation build sheet on 4/19, I checked in on 5/3 and my dealer told me it had shipped, got put on hold 5/17, got notice of QC hold release today 6/21

OK. How much would you pay right now for a 2022 Tundra with a V35A, even if it's under warranty. I wouldn't touch one.
My comment was regarding the benefit of a higher trade-in value while still under warranty. The first question I get is the auto still under warranty... thats all! I've traded-in well over a dozen Lexus and Mercedes and that's been my experience.

Where do see "The last Lexus to be possibly involved was the LX 600 produced Nov 2022 and prior." as a verified fact? That's the end date of the recall mfg period FOR NOW. Which is not the same as the last Lexus possibly involved with the engine problem. There are Tundra failures on vehicles manufactured after the Feb 2023 date listed in the same recall document.

What is stated in the recall is fact everything else is pure speculation. . What is about 19 months since the last LX was produced since the recall dates. You are purely speculating.

My GX550 Premium+ arrived in Long Beach on Memorial Day (5/27/24). Called my dealer today. He said no changes. In fact, they have 32 GX550s coming in and none of the statuses have changed. They're all still on QC hold .

what you said is not what's stated in the recall. You're referring to the current recall end build date, FOR NOW. That doesn't mean as they gather more data they won't change the date ranges. Here are the FACTS we know. The same Toyota Defect Information Report (see snapshot below) lists the last included Tundra build date as Feb 2023. But there are documented failures on vehicles built after that date. So your comment is exactly equivalent to saying "The last Tundra to be possibly involved was produced Feb 23 and prior" which we KNOW is not true.

From the looks of every prior post, including mine, they were 5/17 hold start dates.

First in first out, but the 27th is only 10 days after the 17th, so u can speculate that yours will release in 10 days

That’s exactly what I said. LX produced up Nov 22 (19 months ago) are subject to the recall. Everything else you say after that is 100% pure speculation.

My dealer said the same today with their units at port of Jax. There were no changes today with their units on hold. They sent me a snap shot of mine and it confirmed it.
My 30 day hold started on May 17th and 56 day hold on May 25th

I guess we're not going to agree here, but please do tell exactly what in the underlined part is speculation. I'm not sure you understand what speculation means. ;)

Yes and you do not understand “For now” is 100% speculating the future. You keep referring to the Tundra. I have made no mention of domestic made Tundra only the LX.

My Nightfall Mica premium plus GX was built on May 6th, arrived at port May 17th and received notice from the dealer today it was set for release from QC hold. It’s headed to a dealer in Phoenix AZ. Hopefully it will show up without any more delay.
That’s great news my OT+ shipped April 16 arrived May 20 East coast no update!!! Good luck

Called Lexus of West Palm dealer, showing a 56 Day QC Hold on our GX still, car has been baking outside since it was offload at the port since 4/17. Still no update on a loaner since they took our vehicle on on trade 5/11 because our GX was due “any day”. Cant wait to have a brand new car that’s been baking in the Florida sun for 3 months. 🙄
