Maybe the howl of the all terrains will drown out the wind noise from roof rails!

I love the look with the tire upgrade. I have the exact GX in Atomic Silver. Probably try selling my wife on those tires eventually. We love everything about ours except the size of the fuel tank and the wind noise from the roof rails.

The new tires look to add a fair amount of protection of the wheels. Am I seeing that correctly?

Question @bfloyd - the OEM 22" wheels are 7.5" width right? Did those go on the 285/50R22s okay? I thought the minimum rim width for a 285/50 Open Country A/T III was 8.5".

Does this size throw off the speedometer at all? Seems like the sidewall is a bit higher than stock?

Checking in on this again. Very interested in this setup, but want to know more about the reliability or having that wide tire on this rim size.
