Heat Seats, Steering wheel warmer and Venting Issues

My totally unscientific take is my OT steering wheel heater isn’t as warm as on the Macan that it replaced. That said, it is fine. Only has front seat heaters and they also work fine. Just finished a hike in -2 degree chill factor weather and hands and butt warmed right up when I got back the vehicle (which I remote started about 7 minutes from the trailhead).
Wish remote start app could turn on seat heaters and steering wheel heaters like my Tesla

Same here with lack of heat on steering wheel and seats. If it can’t be adjusted I can live with it but my wife’s 2022 BMW X5 has really heated seats and steering wheel that I need to turn down or off pretty quickly. I’d prefer that problem over what I have with my more expensive GX 550 OT+. Toyota/Lexus are you listening?!

Did you get the “cold weather package”? I pick my Lux+ up on Saturday and told them I wanted the permanent fix done to my seats that is causing the massage function to stop working and I notified them about the problem with the weak heat on seats and steering wheel and said I wanted to make sure the problem was resolved BEFORE I pick up. We live 3.5 hours from our dealer and it’s the last thing I want to deal with. I don’t know why dealers don’t have a designated person following this forum to stay on top of issues. Proactive vs reactive = happy customers! I paid for the cold package so I wonder if that is the issue or those having the issues didn’t get the cold package? Either way, it shouldn’t be a problem to begin with.

Luxury + owner here and am finding the heated steering wheel and seats not offering much heat at all. I've customized "my settings" to +2 (more heat) and I still don't feel much warmth. Anyone else having this issue? Am I missing something?

I also found that the air vents blow cold or hot air sometimes even when the blower (and everything) is turned to off. You guys having that issue as well?

We live 3.5 hours from the dealer so I told them about this problem and the issue with the weak massaging function as well and said the permanent fix needs to be done before we pick up, but we shall see! I did pay the extra for the cold package so I don’t know if that will help or if it’s still an issue.

Nope, the cold package doesn't help the issue.

If you like heated seats, Do not buy the new gx550 with massage seats. You think after spending 103k you’d have a seat heater that works.

Lexus says the seat heaters work perfectly fine, they even sent me a video of them measuring the heat at a toasty 89 degrees.

1-800-255-3987, call Lexus. If enough people complain, hopefully something will be done.

At least they’ve acknowledged the problem. My dealer says, “it’s the 1st time we’re hearing about it.”

Weather that’s true or not, it wasted my whole day for nothing.

I have heard (no proof) GX550 models with the massage seat option are having the most issues with heated/cooled seat performance. The massage mechanism overlays the heat/cool delivery system. Design flaw/poor planning.

Any GX550 owners without the massage option having issues with their heat/cool seats?
Have owned my Gx Lux + and yes barely feel the heat in any of the four seats. My 23 4 runner was much warmer and my other 23 subaru impreza blows away both of them with the heated seats!
Steering wheel does get warm though..

Visited the dealer this week for another reason, but had them look at my seats. They said they were in spec, but did admit to the problem. Mine is the forth GX in for the heated seat issue. My steering wheel does get warm just not as nice as my other vehicles do. As this is my first Lexus I'm not that impressed so far with some of the features for the money & their reputation of a luxury vehicle.

I have the Premium Plus and no issues with Climate Control in fact it works much better than the past model GX. I set Climate Control to auto and the seats (Front) will automatically cool down based on temp setting. I live in Texas and so far Spring has been very Hot I have not tried the heating features and no issue with the steering wheel. Sorry to hear about your issues...
Same here Premium+ owner with no issues. Wondering if this only affects certain trims?
