Hold Button

I use mine all the time too and also haven't heard a noise. Any chance that it's the spare tire chain hitting the spare wheel? If you're at a drive through there's a chance you have your window rolled down and hear it? Easy test is to use some gaffers/duct tape to tape the chain that hangs down off the middle of the spare to the actual wheel and then drive it and see.

How do you get your hold feature to stay on? Mine turns off when I turn the car off. It's a great feature, but I don't know how to turn it on permanently.
I'm not Kirt but you can't have it stay on between starts. You just get into the routine of starting the car and pushing the Hold button. I do wish it would stay on permanently but that's not something Lexus does.

What does this feature do?
If the Hold button is pressed you'll see a "Hold" in the lower right of the dash. When you come to a complete stop, after about 2 seconds, the auto hold engages (you can see a notification in the lower right of the dash that it has engaged). Then you can take your foot off the brake pedal and the brakes will remain applied until you press the accelerator pedal.

The short answer to your question is it allows you to remove your foot from the brake pedal when you're stopped. It's definitely worth trying - one of those things that you might not realize you like until you try it.

It’s not the chain on the spare tire because I tried looking at it, the sound seems to be coming under the hood , engine…
