NYTOP Hybrid Bumper - anyone have it?

hey markmanner, thanks for that info on the NYTOP bumper. I am waiting on my 2025 OT delivery and am considering that same bumper. In their install instructions it seems a PIA to remove those 6 nylon clips in the middle valence, as you said. They say to access the clips through the small gill opening slats. Did that work, or did you end up cutting lower middle valence apart or how did you get it off? Thanks
I finally had time to install the Hybrid bumper. I need to do a bit more final aesthetic trimming on the fender well material, but I like the way it looks with the front of the tires exposed. Still waiting for the NYTOP sliders, hopefully will arrive soon. The only install pain suffered was the difficulty removing the clips that hold the bottom plastic valence to the main front fascia. Hard to get at them if you are avoiding removing the whole front end. However, it was worth the effort to avoid that process. I decided not to try to preserve the part I was taking off, which made the process easier. I emailed NYTOP and they got back to me ASAP on the phone to answer a question I had. Nice guys and a nice product and shipped well.
What made you decide on the aluminum version? (Or is it just the middle section that’s aluminum)
I am curious if those who have had steel bumpers in the past have run into rust problems.

Hi, I got 3-4 of them off the way they suggested by reaching in and around, but decided it wasn't worth the effort, and I separated the lower valence from the upper just enough to cut the tabs that I hadn't released. I'm very happy with the end result. I think someone with more patience and dexterity could do what they suggest.

I decided that the AL one was what I wanted because of the color that more or less matches the part I was removing. Also a little lighter. In part I didn't want to add any more weight or mass up front than I need to accomplish my goal (which was to get rid of the plastic in front of the tires).
