Squealing Brakes 550 Overtrail

I’m still waiting on my dealer as well. Is the road force balancing fix still effective with the vibration? Mine was good for a few days but it has come back to some extent.

Not sure yet, haven’t driven it in a week. Picking it up from ceramic coating/PPF Saturday and will report back. I still think its the brakes. Time will tell

My dealership advised today that: “Lexus is aware of the brake squeal problem and will be shipping parts to correct it.” No due date provided but since it is only when I back down the driveway in the morning I can wait.

Drove 2hrs back home from Orlando and can say the vibration is better but not gone. Also, I just recently added the OEM cross bars, so add wind noise to the experience. Fml

Exactly! This is my experience. I am really hoping the brakes fix is going to take care of the vibration too.

Drove today 200 miles no issues. Washed the car two times no noise.
I think they got it.
Getting ready for a 3500 miles trip.

Apparently today lexus issued another repair notice regarding brake squeak.. Oct 22 2024

Waiting for a copy.. The one from October 8th is straight forward..

Anyone know what the new one says

Dealer said the parts are available. Hopefully get this sorted soon

Welp the wait continues. From my dealer:

“The GX will be ready for pick up tomorrow. The brakes will not be completed. The "Fit Kit" or caliper hardware/springs has not arrived and is backordered. We will have to bring the vehicle back in once the kit comes in.”

My brake have made loud squealing noises since delivery of my GX 550 Overtrail. I have had my car about 3 months. I had similar issues with my 4Runner TRD Off-road with KDSS. The Toyota dealer eventually replaced my brake pads and the noises went away. My Lexus dealer has had my GX for over a week and are now replacing my entire brake system - pads, rotors, even my brake lines. I thought this was excessive, but I have not been told why they are doing a complete brake replacement. Lexus obviously knows more than they are telling me. Hopefully the parts will arrive soon and I will get my GX back and the noises will stop. My GX has approximately 2500 miles on it.

Had my GX 550 Overtrail + at dealer for minor fix he told me I am second on the list to fix the rear brakes , he also said LEXUS had a fix but they only send one break kit a week so there is a solution be patient good luck

Now that the slow summer broil has stopped in Arizona and we have a bit of moisture in the air, my brakes are always squealing in reverse. Time to call the dealer and start pushing for brake fix and hood flutter fix.

Welp, got the brake fix done but a part was backordered. Squeal is gone, but definitely did NOT help vibration issue like @sroberts claims. Do better Lexus
