đź‘‹ Welcome to the Lexus GX 550 Forum! Please post an introduction thread!

Hi Everyone, I’m down here in SoCal. hope to get my Caviar OT+ sometime in the next few weeks. Currently have a 24 BMW M2 and a 22 IS350 FSport. Looking forward to modifying my GX and learning about this platform together. Cheers!

Hey all,

Have my deposit and VIN secured on an Overtrail+ in Earth/Chateau with an ETA during the first week of December.

Trading in my 22 MDX Type S Advance AND a 21 Subaru Ascent that only has 2k miles on it. Looking forward to the new ride and mod scene as I miss my my 21 4runner TRD Pro.

Hello everyone! My name is Klint, and I am from Houston, Texas. I am currently waiting on my Incognito Luxury GX 550 but I am a huge modifier of my vehicles. Planning on doing the following (just don't tell the wife):
  • Tint (25% Pass/Driver Front, 5% back)
  • Wrap top in black gloss
  • New front lower bumper (JW or victory4x4)
  • Rockers (victory4x4)
  • Vossen Hybrid Forged HF6 22" wheels
  • 275x50x22 tire upgrade (undecided on which one)
  • 2" Preload Collar Lift Kit
  • PPF
  • FITCAMX Dash Cam front and back
  • disable fake engine sound
  • underbody ground clearance/wheel well lights

Let me know if I missed anything that would be a good addition to this!

At the dealership and taking this beauty home.
Caviar Premium+
Ordering some Vossen wheels and tires tomorrow.

Hello from Chicago area. Have a 2024 Overtrail+. Coming from Tacomas and 4Runners. My last was Lifted and Magnuson supercharged. GX came with a Readylift spacer lift and looking to go Icon. It currently track steers right and needs a panhard relocation. Ready to find some solutions. Thanks

Hello everyone, I live in Florida and just traded in my second Tesla Model X and got the 24 GX 550 Overtrail+. Interesting experience getting back into a gasoline car, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far with the GX's rugged/luxury balance!

Thanks for the add!

Purchased a New 2024 Lexus 550 Premium in Eminent White Pearl that is replacing my wife's Black 2007 Lexus RX 350 that finally died.
I'm currently driving a 2014 Chev Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LTZ Z71 Off-Road in Charcoal Gray w/5.3L V-8. I previously drove a 2010 Silverado 1500 Crew LTZ Z71 Off-Road in Charcoal Gray w/5.3L V-8. Prior to this, I had a 1998 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road V6 w/a Manual Transmission, 3" Lift, 33" BFG's on OEM Taco Aluminum Wheels and Machting Leer Canopy. I put almost 300k miles on my Tacoma and to date it has been the best, most reliable vehicle I have ever owned AND the most fun to drive on or off-road. During my time owning my Taco, I was a member of multiple Taco Forums and found them very informative/educational.

We live in the Pacific Northwest (Southwest of Seattle about 2hrs). The GX will be my wife's daily driver, but I'm looking forward to doing some tasteful mods...2-1/2" Lift, Oversized Off-Road Tires on OEM 20" Premium Wheels, Black Vinyl Wrap Roof, Door Handles, Fender Trim, and Mirror Caps, Ceramic Coating/Paint Protection. I'm here to educate myself on all things GX 550 like I did during my days of being a Taco owner.

Hi from SE PA. Possibly getting a Nori OT in a couple months. Replacing a 4Runner with 170k <- that things been everywhere; only problem is it's slow.

Looking to tow a travel trailer for long trips, go camping, bit of light offroading and forest roads. Really looking forward to more power, modern transmission and fingers crossed great durability.

Thanks for the add. TIA for answers to questions I can only get from other owners.

Hi, traded in my 2020 Ford Explorer for a 2024 GX550 Overtrail +, Pearl White with Black/Olive at Cerritos Lexus in California. LOVE IT!!! Especially conquering LA traffic on my way to work/home using the traffic jam assist and massaging seats! Looking forward to family trips to the mountains!

I bought a 1994 Land Cruser new, and sold it this year. I'm not buying a hybrid anything, so I'm looking at the Lexus GX 550. First year new models of any brand usually have MANY problems. I'm looking forward to the 2025 GX 550 assuming most of the problems, if not all, will be resolved. I'm thankful this forum exists. If I purchase a GX 550 you can count on me to be an active member.

Hi all, just picked up a 2024 GX premium+ in caviar. Decided a change was in order after totaling a Macan GTS that I drove for many years. This also allowed me to consolidate vehicles by trading in my Jeep Wrangler as well. Enjoying the GX so far, definitely a much different driving experience than the Macan but not necessarily in a bad way. Big upgrade from the Jeep. Hoping to add in a proper sports car at some point to create a perfect duo!

Hello Everyone,
We recently purchased a GX550 Luxury+. Prior to that we had a Land Rover Discovery. We knew when we bought the LR it was a short term as we have always owned Toyota/Lexus. There just weren't any styles of SUV we cared for in 2020.
We were mountain and snow people our entire lives, but now reside in Pensacola Beach.

I traded my F150 Lightning for a nori green overtrail+. I have put almost 1000 miles on it now and have been averaging around 20mpg mixed driving. great vehicle.

Hi all,

I'm super stoked to be taking delivery of an Incognito Overtrail in the next few days. My grandfather bought a Toyota LandCruiser new in 1988, and I bought it from him in 1999. I added an Old Man Emu lift and ARB rear air locker, and have really learned to appreciate Toyota's off-road prowess over the years.

I never thought I would sell it but it's the only way I can make the GX550 work, and I think it's going to be a perfect "adult" upgrade of the same pedigree. I bought a Tahoe ten years ago because I couldn't daily drive the Cruiser anymore in my career, and I needed something that could tow a ski boat. Again, perfect upgrade! And a $50k tax write off for 2024 to boot! I mean I have to buy it, right?

Roof rack up for sale next week if anyone wants one. Looking forward to seeing everyone's rigs, upgrades, and adventures.

Brian

Hi All:

I'm picking up my Atomic Silver OT+ later today. Wife drives a '06 LX and we have an '89FJ Landcruiser, so adding to the family. Pics to come...

We live in MA and will be using it to tow a Whaler in the summer and head to ski country (NH and ME) in the winter. Very much looking forward to using it!
