When I tested it with my data / wifi off on my phone, the digital key still worked to start the vehicle. However, if I wasn't signed in to the app, I was blocked until I had internet to sign in, which makes no sense. So, I just don't think it can be trusted enough to be useful.
PS: the vehicle...
I don’t think you need internet for the digital key, just to signal the vehicle to unlock from the app. That said, it is quite finicky, sometimes disappearing from the app. Tesla definitely did a better job. I mostly carry the smart key and no wallet.
After a trip to HF for some shelf liner and 36”+41” EPDM straps, here is v2! I used double sided tape as I looped the shelf liner around the rails. Very solid and went through the car wash fine.
Interesting- maybe rubber shelf/drawer liner to keep them in place.
I don’t really expect to use them - just for emergency, which is why I got cheaper ones.
Should be fine. You just want the trailer reasonably level - they probably have a few “drop” choices to help you pick the best. Not sure of the cost - otherwise, Home Depot and Harbor Freight tend to be around $25-30 assembled.
Same experience in my OT+. If this was the factory stereo, I would just roll my eyes. But this is the $1100 upgrade??
I thought it might have to do with the source as Carplay, but does not seem so.
The Tesla Model 3 system is vastly superior.
I have a high end system at home, which I don’t...
Geez - at these costs, I'll drive the Tesla more. Of these maintenance items, only had to pay for tire rotation at $65ea (or less at a 3rd party shop) and a cabin filter at $74 every couple years.
And $0.01-0.015/mi for electric instead of $0.21/mi for premium gas.
Even out of warranty...
That would help to remove the offset bracket, but the real challenge is the height IMO.
I can probably reduce 3-6" with a proper roof rack, but some of them require removal of the rails. The factory doesn't but suffers from wind/cost.
Does Rhino have universal clamps that work with a rack...
I read they weren’t adjustable, but I tried anyway. Here is the page from the manual. I loosened the bars anyway and could feel the pin keeping the bars in place.
I succeeded, but don’t think I like it.

As you can see, it sits high, now about 84.5”, close to the 86” limit on the local carwash. Maybe its too risky to use anyway - might get...
I did the 4yr/50k maint plan for $3300. One service appt was $1300+ (fluids) and another $1700+ (plugs), plus I tow, which typically has a more aggressive maint schedule. So, I figured it will be at worst no loss after inflation. Tires, brakes and wipers extra of course.
Now, I'm less likely to...
While traffic was abysmal this weekend (3h30m for 100mi), the GX did great pulling a Coachmen Apex 208BHS (5000#+). Solid 'A' grading. I mainly used the manual transmission to keep the power ideal, but it never felt sluggish nor runaway on the downhills. I used mostly up to 6th gear and up to 7...
20' Coachmen Apex Nano BHS. 4300# empty, 6000# gvwr. The cable barely reaches.
I had to turn off driver assist features to hitch. And I had to manually turn off the power gate/hands-free because it will hit the jack. I wish the tow button did those things as well.
Viola! This set just fits if you take the rubber washers off. I did need to take off the cowl & lock to attach the chains. And geez, the cable reaches, but am considering a 6-12" extension.
