Today my sales guy told me allocations starting in October 2024 will be 2025 model year. Dealership notified by Lexus this morning. No info on any assembly plant build tweaking was given. Would assume once allocated delivery would 6-8 weeks after, as in the 2024 models. What is everyone else...
Only things I considered were the rock rails and black emblem overlays.. If you don't need rock rails in next few months then might wait for aftermarket catch up on mods. OEM rock rails I saw at dealership were just ok. You're right the roof rack is a no-go. Prinsu Pro rack 10x better and cheaper.
Need doesn't really allow me to wait too long. What I have been able to do is push out my allocation assignment (hence build date) as needed while still keeping my "spot in line". Waiting to hear more out of Toyota before I pull the trigger.
Allocations come out on a Friday from what I've seen the last couple months, but not sure about frequency. Do know there will be allocations sent to dealers this Friday, 6/28 according to my sales guy.
Have had sun roofs on last three vehicles. Current one is a 4Runner and my GX stuck in QA hold has one too. Only open it when dog wants to stick her nose in the wind. Other than that it stays shut. One more thing to leak or malfunction.
My OT had the roof rack option, something I absolutely didn't want. The dealer was able to delete it at the LA port distribution center. Now just need them to swap out the Toyo's for some KO2's!!

Not sure. Was hoping the V6 Turbo for the LX600 and GX550 is being built in the Tahara plant. Can't find any info confirming that though. Everything points to this engine (V35A-FTS) being built only in Huntsville, AL.
I saw what the roof rack cost and was able to get it deleted. Prinsu Pro cheaper and full length. I'm sure other after market guys will come up with something nice near term.
Still waiting on my OT but have a 2014 4Runner Trail. Hood has fluttered at 70mph+ for all 10 years of ownership. Intensity appears to be affected by wind direction in addition to speed. Headwinds are the worse. Truthfully, it has become a nonissue and I don't even notice it anymore.

Saw chassis video on OT+ and there is a composite plate covering the front skid plate. Different. It also looks like armor stops before transfer case. Video narrator said additional armor for other components are in the accessory catalog Didn't say when available. Anybody hear anything about this?
Nice mods! Under hood looks tight. Want to install air comp and Switch Pro fairly quick. Maybe remove housing that's around battery to free up some room?
Maybe PPF, then tint. Roof rack when available but will also check out Prinsu. Would love to swap out tires for 275 KO3's but will have to see. Assuming 275 will not require any body trim
My dealer was able to delete PIO rack. Caught it early enough. Hope to see an after market full roof mounted (no side rail) rack soon in addition to the Prinsu. Maybe Cali Raised can measure up a GX550 for their premium rack. Really nice features. Available one for 4Runner is about $1,000. Will...
