Well if it looks good and works, no problem! Here's a pic of before. In the top right you can see some perforations in the corner on the original screen protector. I put a piece of painters tape in the corner and pulled down and it came right off.
I haven't installed any UV/IR windshield film but saw $300-350 for a high quality product. I did this on an Audi before but had some strange artifacts with polarized lenses and then ended up knifing the film myself after I forgot it was on there to remove a registration sticker :/ Not saying...
@Bluegill , @blakebearden78 - In the OCD install video, the Tundra seemed to have a "factory" screen protector on it. When looking at my unit closely prior to install, I noticed the GX does too. Did you pull that off before installing the OCD matte screen protector?
I agree. I don't have an OT+, but I do have a Premium+ and would have optioned a digital mirror if I could have. A Kia/Hyundai has this feature for $30K less. They throw HUD on every unit, but don't give any option for a Digital Rearview Mirror. Strange.
Joined a no deposit required list on 2/22/24. Weeks/months of silence and no replies to inquiries and after another follow up request by me, a new sales person responded to me on 5/16 that he was taking care of me. Amazing experience. He informed me of incoming available VIN configurations...
Was working with dealer on a tire upgrade package on my incoming Premium+ and at the 11th hour management rejected the request citing that a number of safety systems would be adversely affected due to the miscalibration of OEM tire spec vs 33" tires... systems such as collision warning, airbags...
Question @bfloyd - the OEM 22" wheels are 7.5" width right? Did those go on the 285/50R22s okay? I thought the minimum rim width for a 285/50 Open Country A/T III was 8.5".
Got it - looks good. So not a tire expert - the KO2s (edit: nm those are Toyo Open Country AT III) have a more donut-y look because of less tread width but still being a 275 width? Some 275s are definitely more squared off with a wider tread width. @drewgolson what did you end up with?
Thanks @PepeLePew - this is good info that I had also seen and I agree it looks promising. I kind of scoured Wheel Tec's Facebook page and they double/tripled down on this 275/60r20 opinion with rubbing, so was really wondering if we had any body on here who could tell us about their own...
