Fellow canadians, with the current FX rate, Toyota Japan might want to bring less and less GX in the canadian market vs US.
They are sprinkling a couple units here and there in Canada just to show that it's a real product (not only on the website), but in really it's a paper launch.
Inventory is increasing in USA, all is good for Toyota Financial statements.
Any news on your side about supply / delay in your orders ?
Dealer asked me 35k $ as a deposit that I would get back 12 months AFTER delivery to make sure I don't export it.
Toyota Canada has some efty penalties for the dealership if the car gets exported right away (it's a high portion of the orders BTW).
They should pay me if I don't export it haha.
Toyota / Lexus Canada reps are welcome to comment (and no chain of supply is still squeezed as it's not true in 2025).
I'm wondering why I would wait 2 years for this, to get mine stolen in 2 weeks, and have an inferior product that my BMW X5 which seems more reliable than a new Lexus model.
