GX550 30 Day Stop Sale?

I’m going to add to the confusion here- our dealer called and let us know about the hold but mentioned it had to do with some electrical/technology that needed to be fixed so I’m not sure anyone knows at this point…
 
Thank you for the fuel so at least Toyota/Lexus can see the fire and put it out before they get burned
1- 800-255-3987 is Lexus National Brand Engagement center. Call and ask about QC hold and let them know your displeasure with no information. They are noting the calls if they get enough pressure they are more likely to react.
 
Spoke with my salesman yesterday for any updates on our OT which has been at port in Long Beach since 5/16. He shared that the dealership hasn't been told anything from Lexus on the duration of the hold or any reason behind it, but there seems to be no specific trims or options, but rather its basically all GX's.
He did mention they also have some NX's in the same "FI" status at port with no information on them either. I asked if they had any of there first allocation (I am in the 2nd allotment) go out to customers before the hold began. He said yes, they have all trims of GX's on the road here in Houston from their dealership and haven't had any issues. Apparently the sales manager is driving a luxury+ with zero issues at all 1100miles.

I got the feeling they are all getting frustrated at the dealerships also as he mentioned that they hadn't even got notice of thier next allotment yet.

Minor issue, when I have the screen in Navigation mode there is a narrow shadow at the top of the screen. I spoke to the tech who said he would look into it. A couple of days ago he told me it should be fixed with a scheduled update soon to happen. Also there are times when the screen (Navigation Mode) is in night mode during the day. I've place the screen mode in automatic so it seems there is a sensitivity issue with the sensor. Not a big deal, I still love it the GX. Also something new when you put your transmission in PARK you will here a short hydraulic sound it is the automatic parking break.
 
Dealers are in the dark… this is what my salesman texted me about mine. Shows a 56 day hold, but ETA is “unavailable”.

Mine is a caviar overtrail+ and I have put 2400 miles on in 5 weeks. I guess I lucked out since mine has no hood shake, vibration. HUD, touchscreen or paint issues. Super happy with my purchase having come from a 2014 4Runner. BTW, I never expect a vehicle like this to be as quiet as a Mercedes or have the silky ride of that car— the GX, at the end of the day, is truck.

Yeah and these sales guys don't get commission until the car is sold and their hottest car flying off the lot as they come in just dried up for a couple months. LX's are already impossible to get inventory on. I'm sure they are just as frustrated as we are.

@Martyt Congratulations, happy for you!! For the hood shake, would you be able to check how high/low the two rubber stops at each side of the hood front? They are rubber "screws" that go up or down. I am wondering how many loops are shown or if you can measure, it would be great. Here is a picture from a different post on the forum; GX hood shakes.

I called in and talked to a Michelle there. She mentioned some other complaints and that she was sending the issue up the chain. 🤷‍♂️
