GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

Here is the side view of my truck with Westcott lift, +35mm offset Method 703s, and 35x12.5x17 Toyo AT3s at the manufacturer's specified 35 psi.

So with 11.5 tires and 35mm offset, picture my side view with the tire tucked inboard a 1/2 inch (your 11.5 would be 1 inch narrow, thus 1/2 inch per side. It would be a negligible difference.

If you are poked 10mm farther outboard with a +25mm offset, that's a bit less than 1/2 inch, so it should look essentially the same as my setup. You'll be a few mm inboard of mine, all else being equal. Again, negligible.

Prepare to be happy, you'll like the Westcott treatment!
Awesome! Thank you so much for the detailed response!!

Any issue with rubbing? I'm also looking at 35x11.5 on 17x8s with a +25mm offset with the Westcott lift. They suggest a +35mm offset but I'm wondering if the skinnier 11.5" tire (that maybe only measures 34.6") will save me with the 25mm offset?
There was a slight rub on the lower bumper trim. The plastic black piece. Trimmed in neatly about an inch and no other issues since. I'm on an 18x9 with a 20 offset. If you stick with a 35 mm offset no trim should be necessary

Did you need to install longer wheel studs for proper retention of the aftermarket wheels?

The front bumper needed minor trimming and mudflaps removed due to rubbing. I love it!

A question for those that have increased tire circumference while leaving the factory spare. Being the rear and center differentials are locking, I assume the rear does not have any type of limited slip. Is anyone concerned about running a different tire circumference if and when you have a flat tire? I would assume at the very least the vehicle would throw a couple of codes due to prolonged wheel speed differences.

Interesting they don't mention the MagnaFlow in the description but have a picture of it. I wish they had a recording of what it sounds like.
Yeah I noticed that too, and was wondering what they did. If you are putting the spare on a rear carrier, then the stock muffler is low hanging fruit. It looks like they installed a smaller rear MagnaFlow muffler to get better clearance than the stock one, and then also did NYTOP's axle dump exhaust with the main MagnaFlow setup, maybe?? Here is a video of the axle dump setup:

Still on the wait list, but this should bring covered in the owner manual. When I upgraded from stock tires to larger KO2's on my Grand Cherokee we took that into consideration. The larger spare fit but the fancy storage trays no longer did.

Fuel Charger's 22x9.5/-18. - MT Baja Boss 285/55R22. Had these on when purchased. Did trim the bumper because of rubbing. Came with the spacer lift also, but going to Icon asap. This size tire won't fit as a spare without trimming/removing the guide bracket for the spare. Haven't done that yet cause unsure even if I did that it wouldn't rub the panhard bar.

Does anybody know if the TSB replacement brake parts they are using will have issues with 17” rims?
Am I correct in assuming the calipers are not being replaced? Is there anybody on here who had the front brakes replaced already and also is running 17” rims? I’ve got Method 703’s on order, and my dealer has the brake parts on order.
