Looks great...!!!Here’s mine with 22” Fuel wheels and 285/55/22” I do have the Westcott
I have a Luxury+ with 22” Fuel Wheels and 285/55/22” Nitto tires with the Westcott Lift kit, keep in mind I had trim some plastic on the bumper and inner fender. Tomorrow the Westcott Roof rack is going to be installed.
Did this affect turning? Any ill effects?View attachment 1145

From Wheel Tec: 20x9 / +20mm offset Fuel Flex wheels with BFG 275/55/20 tires (KO2/KO3?) - Stock suspension
Nice set up! Where did you get that hood vinyl?I went with Titanium Method 703s.
I picked up a set of four 2003-2009 4th generation 4Runner OEM alloy wheels for $50 a few weeks ago. They are 7.5" wide X 17" diameter with a +30 offset. My Method wheels are 8.5" wide X 17" diameter with a +35 offset. I'm using one of the 4Runner wheels as my spare and I'll be taking it to the tire shop in about 500 miles to get my tires rotated and also buy a spare tire - going to try to fit a 33.5" spare (a "34" tire) under the cargo hold in the stock spot. I bought the 4Runner wheels because I'll be selling my stock Overtrail 18" wheels as a full set of five. The best part is that I sold the remaining 3 4Runner wheels for $100 the other day!

How does this work? Does the shop take them off car, take off the tires, clean the wheels, powder coat them, then remount and balance the tires and then pit them back on the car? Finally got around to powder coating my Premium+ asterisk wheels. Went with gunmetal and very pleased with how it turned out!View attachment 8322View attachment 8323
My shop did it all, though it would have been about half the price if I had just brought in the unmounted, tireless wheels. How does this work? Does the shop take them off car, take off the tires, clean the wheels, powder coat them, then remount and balance the tires and then pit them back on the car?
Or do you need multiple vendors here. Wondering if powder coater just wants clean wheels with no tires etc…
Did you attempt to fit a spare with the new wheels and tires and it didn’t fit? This setup was actually exactly what I was looking for. Looks great! This is my daily so I went with the safe Method wheels route with no lift. No rub, no shakes, low noise here are my specs... HAPPY MODDING I hope no one has to overnight parts and go back to the shop twice.
Wheels: Method 307 (17x8.5 +35 offset)
Tires: Toyo Open Country AT3s 285/70/17s
Hub Centric Rings: Wheel Connect Aluminum Alloy OD 106mm/ID 95.1mm (*ones that came with the wheels are too big)
Lugs: 14mmx1.50 Thread Small Diameter Duplex Spline Gorilla Automotive (*your OEM lugs will not fit the new wheels, OEMs will be too wide. Had to overnight these) They seem to be doing the job at the moment but I'm sure there's a more reputable brand out there.
TPMS: 315mhz 2024 Tacoma TPMS (dealer will program them for $180)
Spare: I have no idea what I'm doing with it yet. Open for advice. Might be ok with keeping the stock 20s since the diameter is 32.52in (265/55/20) vs. 32.71in (285/70/17).

No, I have not tried fitting the same size wheel and tire for the spare. I'm wondering if it would be ok to just keep the OEM 20s since it's only a 0.19in of difference in diameter which would only have the truck sit 0.09in higher. Can someone check my theory?Did you attempt to fit a spare with the new wheels and tires and it didn’t fit? This setup was actually exactly what I was looking for. Looks great!
I'm seeing 32.8 for the Toyos & 31.4 for the OEM Yokohamas. That's a 1.4" diameter change, or a 0.7" ride height change. 4.3% larger. I wouldn't run a spare that much smaller on a full-time 4WD truck, but that's just my opinion. No, I have not tried fitting the same size wheel and tire for the spare. I think so! Google says it’s okay. Not the preferred width but you’ll be fine. May do the same too! Then if I decide to addI am looking at this wheel also can you put the old tires back on these Rims until you need new tires then go to the 275/60/20 Thanks The Rims on the Premium + Suck!
I was shopping for accessories before I got it so I don't blame you for window shopping for wheels. If you're entirely set on the GX, and know for sure that you're buying it, I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything that is a good deal. Otherwise, just stay patient. This platform is so new at this point that new vendors are popping up.I guess I should start with getting GX550. I am on Three list. But still no Car. I am being very picky this is a lot of money so I feel I should get what I want. I have seen the build I want but they are sold already. I need to be patient. Or not.
Ya i prefer the TE37XT MSpec but i don’t want that much poke (18x8 +20 & 18x9 +15) so I’m looking at these. Not yet but that's what I am aiming for eventually once I wear through these tires. Those and the XT versions are fantastic + they are about 18ish lbs per wheel.
I know right. Unfortunately options are extremely limited. 4Runner SCS or Method all day but on this new GX550 gotta step it up a little.I wish Vossen did custom offsets on smaller dia wheels. I'm looking for 18in. wheels ideally, and want to change things up from the Method, Icons and SCS wheels I've had on my last several trucks.
