thanks, yeah I'm using proper cone seat lug nuts, I was asking about how much thread engagement people are getting on their aftermarket rims/lug nuts, the front lugs seem shortIn general, don't use the Lexus OEM nuts for aftermarket wheels.
Sounds like exactly what I said. It’s the least aggressive fitment in 20”, but Vossen only lists +18 in 20x9. Please post some pics once you get them on.Ok all, I have gone to Wheel TEC Twice now this is what I have learned. The Vossen wheel Hfx-1 20x9 with a +20 offset is the very best you can do to keep them from poking out from the fender to much and no cutting or modification or added hardware. If that is the look you are after. Which I am. You will also need to order all new Lug Nuts for the aftermarket Wheels. (cannot use OEM lugs not safe) But you can use OEM tires which came on my Premium+ GX550. Then when I replace tires in the future I can go up to LT275x55xR20 BF Goodrich which look great with no Modification. Old tire is 265x55x20. I hope this helps.
question for those who've gone aftermarket, are your lugs feeling a bit short & did you get longer lug bolts? I test fit a custom 18" rim and I got six full rotations on the lug nuts tightening by hand on the front, I assume with using a proper torque wrench I'll get 6.5 to 7 full rotations

Looks great! I’m hoping to go one size up to 285/50r22. Do you thinkJust mounted up 22" Vossen HF6-5 in satin black (22x9.5 ET 20) on Nitto Nomad Grapplers (285/45/22). Couldn't be happier, exact look I was going for!View attachment 8865
Can’t you do custom size and do 20x9.5” + 30 on this rim?Sounds like exactly what I said. It’s the least aggressive fitment in 20”, but Vossen only lists +18 in 20x9. Please post some pics once you get them on.
I think you would want to run 275/60/20 with a +20-+35 range offset rim to avoid rubbing or trimming. Based on the research I’ve done.I’m hoping to fit 285/50r22 or 285/55r20 with no lift. Is this doable with the proper offset? I don’t mind a little trimming. Thx!
That looks great! Are there any fitment issues or rubbing at 285/45R22? I am thinking of eventually going with 275/50R22 on the Luxury wheels and keeping everything else stock. Just wanted to be sure there wouldn’t be any problems. Thanks!Just mounted up 22" Vossen HF6-5 in satin black (22x9.5 ET 20) on Nitto Nomad Grapplers (285/45/22). Can’t you do custom size and do 20x9.5” + 30 on this rim?
Those will fit. Here is a post from another member running that same setup in this thread. Is the general consensus that a 20x9 wheel with +20 offset, and a 275/55R20 tire would fit without any rubbing or modifications?
Truck looks amazing! Quick question: I am looking to replicate this set-up, did you have to manipulate suspension in any way, or cut plastic pieces w/in the wheel wells to fit these rims and tires?Just mounted up 22" Vossen HF6-5 in satin black (22x9.5 ET 20) on Nitto Nomad Grapplers (285/45/22). Are you doing any sort of lift? 20x9.5” +30 is a custom offset you can get from Vossen. 25-35 positive offset is very little to no poke. The higher the positive the offset the lower the amount of poke.I need help please. I am looking to Replace the OEM Rims on my Premium+. I am looking at Vossen HFX-1 20x9 or 20x9.5 what offset should I get? I don't want them to stick out from under the fender wells. Will I be able to use my old tries or sure I replace them? I would be looking for all weather tires. Best on highway and handling what would be the best size tires for this rim? I am really struggling on this for the right Tire for these Rims. I obviously want them to look good or I would just keep the ugly OEM rims I have. HELP!
Getting 35x12.5 Toyo ATIII on today, Load E. This with the Westcott preload collar until I can swap for a full suspension later. I am wondering what the ride feel will be like since I never ran an E tire on my pickups.Im going with E rating. I like the toyos will stay with them. Think I am going to go with 275/70r18’s just a little bigger
So I will say this. Coming from a 4Runner I recently switched last month from E rated to C rated tires right before I sold it and honestly I didn’t really feel a huge difference in comfort. Maybe they are worse in the snow because they are 10ply being in Colorado… but it was old tread vs new. So maybe will just run EsLate to the party here. Getting 35x12.5 Toyo ATIII on today, Load E.
