GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

I went with Titanium Method 703s.

I picked up a set of four 2003-2009 4th generation 4Runner OEM alloy wheels for $50 a few weeks ago. They are 7.5" wide X 17" diameter with a +30 offset. My Method wheels are 8" wide X 17" diameter with a +35 offset. I'm using one of the 4Runner wheels as my spare and I'll be taking it to the tire shop in about 500 miles to get my tires rotated and also buy a spare tire - going to try to fit a 33.5" spare (a "34" tire) under the cargo hold in the stock spot. I bought the 4Runner wheels because I'll be selling my stock Overtrail 18" wheels as a full set of five. The best part is that I sold the remaining 3 4Runner wheels for $100 the other day!

Seems like we are very limited on wheel choices if we want some positive offset, but I really like the 703s that you got. I like the 701 the most but not sure it'll work for this.

I also wanted the 701s but they don't have an application for the GX550 (offset). The 701s have 8 holes vs 12 on the 703s and they look less busy and easier to clean. I was going to go with the machined clear coat (silver) finish in the 701s. I also like the bronze color but my wife made fun of it - compared it to the out-of-style brass faucet finishes in our master bathroom (that is now about to be remodeled).

Here's another wheel option that some are overlooking

Looking for feedback from someone who has a similar setup. Between ordering Method 707s in 17x8.5 +25 or preordering Stealth Custom Gen5s in 17x8.5 +20. Tires I plan on sticking with Toyo ATIIIs but going with a 285/75r17 or a 35" (11.5 or 12.5"). I have a Westcott lift on order and would prefer to do 35s. I am fine removing the crash box in the fenderwell but dont want to do any cutting or reshaping. Any Offset experts know if these offsets should give me the clearance needed to run these tire sizes?

I had to trim my lower black plastic on the bumper. I'm running 35x11.50r18 and 2.5 lift on the front.

Westcott recommends an offset of +35 to run 35x12.5x17. That's what I have with Method 703s.

I'm running 35x12.5x17" on Method 703 wheels with +35mm offset.
Would the 703s with the +35mm offset look good with 33s? No plans for 35s. Would it rub?

Fuel Rebel 6 Matte Bronze wheels 20 x 9 with 20 mm offset, wrapped with BFG AT KO2's in 275/60/20. No other modifications were necessary. Unbelievably happy with the Nori Green/Bronze combination.

This looks great! Do you have any other shots from the front? Trying to see if wheels are sticking out from fender much. And if that will cause any debris slinging out/wearing out paint more. The

Much appreciated! The wheels and tires just got installed yesterday and this was the only shot I got before I dropped it off to get PPF installed to protect the paint from chips and scratches. I believe the offset and tire size only pushed the tires out about an inch and the fenders on the Overtrails have extra width due to the plastic fender flare. I’ll post some more pics from different angles after I get her back in a couple days!

Finally decided to Preorder (hopefully shipped in a month or two) the Stealth Custom Gen5s (matte black). Previously had their F5s on both my GX460 and 470 and loved the clean look. Looks like they are releasing all their current designs to fit the new LC/Taco/GX in a 17x8.5 +20. Just an FYI, Preorders by EOM get free shipping and lugs (not an ad, just a deal). Now I just have to stress over what tire size to fit that wont rub.
