GX550 Seat Config details

Good point. This is a big issue for those that may need storage and use the third row.
I found the old GX with the swing door odd. Isn't the swing door for a spare tire? Like if you get a flat and you're not on pavement, how's the location under the SUV a winner? The swing door, IMO, had always been there to hold the spare tire and keep it more protected than what the elements may bring to a spare tire fastened below. The old GX had the swing door, but still put the tire below!? This was sub-optimal, and I bought a LR instead where the spare tire is in the trunk (but fully protected as it's accessible from inside the trunk, not from underneath!) Very ingenious those LRs. As for extra space, what about a Sequoia? I'm not looking for 3 rows, so the OT as a two row only is - for me - ideal! But if I did want 3 rows, why not the Sequoia? I suspect that if you use the 3 rows for a trip - and have luggage - once you put the 3 rows up where's your trunk space? The Sequoia is indeed a longer SUV, and would seem like a good thing to at least check out.

I’m actually quite disappointed in the new Sequoia as far as the packaging. The third row seems like an afterthought, and while probably a bit more spacious, the way it folds, makes the rear storage area very awkward. Furthermore, the leftover height is extremely high, even compared to other body frame, vehicle such as the new GX.
