I recently placed a deposit at the Manhattan, NY dealership and am debating whether to have the vehicle shipped or drive it back myself. Has anyone here bought from this dealership? If so, how was your experience with picking up the vehicle and leaving from there?

My curiosity is why aren’t there GX’s in your area but I would IMO is drive it back you will be pleasantly thrilled try it you’ll love it good luck

I called all the dealerships in Ohio and most only get 5-6 GXs per allocation. With the waitlist and the specs I'm looking for I was looking at 4-6months at least. The salesman at Manhattan told me they are the original Lexus dealership and the flagship as to why they get so many.
Looking at the map the dealership is right by the Lincoln tunnel so probably not that bad leaving.
Ty for the reply was just curious about Ohio,a good choice on looking for other options,for me it wasn’t about where in N.Y. IT’s about driving your new GX and that experience good luck in your pursuit
