Has anyone seen details or instruction on how to remove the cool box and revert back to the traditional console storage? The box to me is a waste of space - pretty worthless.

Well it wouldn't be nuts if it was way easier, but yeah...This is nuts. Just use the cool box for storage and live with slightly reduced capacity.
It is nuts. I wanted a console safe though. This is nuts. Just use the cool box for storage and live with slightly reduced capacity.
I agree 1000%You're gonna get a frozen margarita "to go" one of these days and wish you still had that tiny little box!!
You make a great point - I could put the shaker in the cool box. You're gonna get a frozen margarita "to go" one of these days and wish you still had that tiny little box!!
Please tell me that a real martini with gin and not one of the vodka abominations. You make a great point - I could put the shaker in the cool box.
Only gin on my glass - the Botanist, Roku, or Magellan are my favorites - ideally with a cocktail onion so a Gibson versus the standard. What gin are you drinking? Please tell me that a real martini with gin and not one of the vodka abominations.
Hendricks is my go to, but I do occasionally buy a bottle of The Botanist to change things up.Only gin on my glass - the Botanist, Roku, or Magellan are my favorites - ideally with a cocktail onion so a Gibson versus the standard. What gin are you drinking?

Will need to check that out - thanks! Also thought I would throw this out to anyone who may also be a fan of bourbon. I picked up a bottle of Ironroot Harbinger after getting to taste it at Total Wine this past weekend. It's a local distillery in Denison, TX, about 30 miles from me. It's the first non-Kentucky bourbon that I've tasted and really like.
It's very smooth with some fruity notes and a mild spice finish. I recommend it.Will need to check that out - thanks!
My "retrofit concept" was to simply move the cool box from the console and place it in its own box behind the console and in front of the back seat. Like you all say, it looks pretty involved.I've been hoping to find someone thats done it since we got ours and realized how little storage there is. I found this thread on the LC Forum (LC Forum- Cool Box) along with the attached document which is very discouraging as there are not just ac "air" lines, but rather what looks to be ac refridgerant lines. That may be more than I am willing to jump into right now. My wifes collection of things she never uses could just have to remain in cold storage.
