GX CoolBox Removal

I have been wondering this too, as well as if there’s any space under the high center console area. There must be an AC duct/vent in the cool box so not sure how to deal with that.

I've been hoping to find someone thats done it since we got ours and realized how little storage there is. I found this thread on the LC Forum (LC Forum- Cool Box) along with the attached document which is very discouraging as there are not just ac "air" lines, but rather what looks to be ac refridgerant lines. That may be more than I am willing to jump into right now. My wifes collection of things she never uses could just have to remain in cold storage.

That's disappointing in several ways. I was hoping it could easily be swapped out and you would think for something to have refrigerant lines it would do an impressive job at keeping things cold.

You're gonna get a frozen margarita "to go" one of these days and wish you still had that tiny little box!!
You make a great point - I could put the shaker in the cool box.

Also thought I would throw this out to anyone who may also be a fan of bourbon. I picked up a bottle of Ironroot Harbinger after getting to taste it at Total Wine this past weekend. It's a local distillery in Denison, TX, about 30 miles from me. It's the first non-Kentucky bourbon that I've tasted and really like.

Will need to check that out - thanks!

My "retrofit concept" was to simply move the cool box from the console and place it in its own box behind the console and in front of the back seat. Like you all say, it looks pretty involved.
