Options I Didn't Know I Needed (Until I bought my GX 550)

Over my lifetime, I've bough many cars, but over the past 20 years, relatively few. My last new car purchase for myself was in 2002. I have since bought a used Expedition (2012) and a used Escape (2018). My wife has been blessed with a new company vehicle every three years or so, basically fleet type Equinoxes. This is my first new 'luxury' car purchase.

There are several features that, in my short time (126 miles) of driving my GX, have found invaluable, and I didn't really think that I would like them, let alone use them. They are:
Heads Up Display. This thing is GREAT! To have my speed, cruise control set speed, and road speed limit all in front of my face on the windshield is wonderful!
Adaptive Cruise Control: Another 'This thing is GREAT!' No more hitting the + and - to try and match my speed to the car in front of me, only to have to re-set the speed once I have opportunity to pass.
Lane Assist: I like it, but I still don't trust it. My wife's last two equinoxes came with this feature, and on them, it bordered between useless and dangerous. I ensure it's turned off each time I get behind the wheel of her car.

The jury is still out on the cool box, the auto climate control system (although it's worlds better than what the Expedition had), and the customizable dash, that allows me to the map in front of me on the dash.

My wife will tell you that she LOVES the driver monitor (because she thinks she can tell when I'm 'sightseeing' and not paying attention to the road). I, however, hate it, and have turned it off.

Now, if anyone knows how to rid the screen of navigation maps when you have it on the dash, please let me know. And, if there's a way to put the Waze map on the dash without having it on the infotainment screen, again, please let me know. We have an 11-yr old that likes to comment from the back seat about how fast we're going. (I've told them that if they keep it up, they'll end up tied to the roof!)
