Well, slee made sure as shit that the only thing you'd complain about regarding packaging and shipping was the cost. Hope to get these on this weekend.

Agreed! I think they use same box to ship their bumpers in to save hassle of having 2 sizes.
I got mine yesterday and it took a bit to get them out but they were definitely safe.
I am having mine installed tomorrow.

Are they useful as a step for the rear doors? I have some elderly passengers who will need to use them. I know the doors don't open to 90 degrees and it seems like where someone would step a little further back is minimized because of the inward slant. I was leaning towards CBI because of that.

Oddly I haven't gotten in the back yet but I can't see how they wouldn't help some. Yet I do see the back door door goes over the rear wheel so the step ends early and last 6-8" (maybe more?) is tapered.

I got them as they were in stock - they build then sell then rebuild when the run out -- unlike about everyone else who builds too order and takes 6-12 weeks! I needed them sooner.

here is another pic that might help

Did you run the lighting setup, and if so did you run it off the plug from the running board lights? I don't want to have to scavenge from the boards unless I have to but I don't know if this is a "standard" plug type.

My understanding from speaking to Slee a month or so ago is that you need to solder the kit to the OEM wires and they may eventually create lights that plug and play.

Yes, it's just a question soldering before or after the plug. I want to solder after the plug, so I have the option to unplug.

It's not much different than the stock running boards. You're going to step towards the front anyway and use the grab handle if you needed the step.

After a delay for an emergency trip to Virginia, Slee graciously slotted me into their installation schedule last Friday 3/21 on short notice. An excellent experience at their facility, I was able to ask a lot of questions related to various GX upgrades - although I ran out of time for everything.

The slider steps look even better in person, I really like them. The slotted pieces along with the finish on that portion provide outstanding grip; but I haven’t tested them when wet. Getting into the back seat works well. Here are some pics for everyone.
