Tire Pressure Monitor

I got a nail in my new GX 550 Luxury+, I had the spare tire put in its place. This was at Sam’s today is Sunday, only option. I had the flat tire stored in the spare section until I can get a new spare. The tire monitor system is still recognizing and alerting me to the low pressure of the tire I had changed out. It’s telling me my right rear passenger tire has low PSI when it should be telling me my spare has low pressure. I tried the new tire registration and drove around some but it still hasn’t adjusted. Any ideas on what I can do? Ty

If it's similar to other Lexuses, you need to drive it on the highway for an extended time (I can't remember exactly how long - check the manual) before it resets. Happens to me every time I switch out to winter tires, sometimes it takes a short 10-15min drive, sometimes it took hours before it resets.

Bumping this thread for a slightly different question related to the TPMS. We just had our first cold snap and my low pressure warning light is on because the spare tire is 5lbs below suggested pressure. I candidly don't care about my spare tire pressure unless it gets down <20lbs and don't want to deal with crawling under there to air it up every time we go from 70 to 40 degrees. Is there any ability to clear the warning light caused by the spare or just disconnect it all together?
