Tire rotation

Hi,

Does Lexus dealership have your tire lock keys?

Went in for first 5k mile check up. They claim they did the tire rotation but they didn't use my tire lock keys.

I forgot to mark the tires, any way to tell if they actually rotated?

I would assume that the 'key' for our wheel lug nuts is fairly generic for Lexus service, and that they have one. Has this particular service organization given you reason to believe that they have done shady stuff in the past?

ETA: look at the spare. its 'dirtyness' should match the inside of three of the other wheels on the vehicle

Not that they have done any shady stuff - I left out the tire key on the dashboard but they didn't open the wrapper for it. Was just curious.

Thanks, I'll checkout the spare, but don't they usually do 4 rotation not 5?

The GX has a full sized spare on a like wheel - same as the other four. Per their manual, they include the spare in the rotation. Spare should go to the right rear corner.
