Wheels and tires fitment inquiry

Hello! I am new to the offroad world so I am in need of some guidance.
I bought the wescott collar loft kit and waiting on a set of 18x8+20 wheels.
Am I able to run 295/70/18 without issues or is 285 my best bet?

295/70/18 calculates out to 34.27" tall X 11.62" wide which should fit with the Westcott preload collar lift kit, BUT the offset might mess with you a bit.

I am running the Westcott kit with 35 x 12.5 tires on 17" wheels with a +35 offset.

So, your wheels & tires will be pushed out 15mm further than mine, which is 0.59". You may rub the inner fender liner (I think rubbing in front of the tire is where most people are having trouble with less offset wheels).

There is a thread somewhere on this forum where someone with +20 offset wheels had a little rubbing. But maybe he was on full 35 x 12.5 tires.....I don't recall for sure.

For reference, 285/70/18 calculates out to 33.72 x 11.23. That's a good half-inch shorter and 0.39" narrower.

Of course different tires have different actual measurements.
