Can we hear from OT & OT+ owners who DON'T have vibration / ride issues?

I don't want to muck up the other thread so that remains focused on a solution for those who have the vibration / ride quality isues.

Those who are experiencing the problem(s) are vocal about it, and rightly so. But I'd really like to get a sense of how pervasive the issue is (or isn't).

Could those who aren't having ride quality issues chime in here with your thoughts on ride quality?

I noticed a vibration when I first took ownership. Check one of my first posts back in July. I drove mine home about 250 miles and it worked itself out. Rides like a dream now. No issues.

I took possession 7/28/24, and was one of the earlier ones that was built in april 2024. It sat at port for close to 100 days.

It has been smooth as butter since i got it.

It is a rougher ride than my brother’s unibody audi Q7, but it is also much smoother of a ride than my seconday which is also a BOF(silverado).

When i drive on the fresh paved streets around my house its like skating on glass. When i get to speed 70mph or higher on the highway, its smooth as well.

I firmly believe a small select few have an undiagnosed vibration, but i also think some people bought this car because they thought it looked cool or it would drive like the 460, not realizing what the ot/ot+ trims were designed to do, and thinking that since its a luxury brand that it should not be as rough as it is. The fact of the matter is that a BOF setup like this (off the assembly line) built to tackle serious offroading capabilities isn’t built for feeling nothing. Don’t think was ever the intended design.

there can’t be that many posts in the vibration thread for there not to be a subset of vibrating 550’s. Some of the guys seem pretty mechanically knowledgeable with long histories of owning diff types of vehicles. I think the vibrating 550’s has to be a small percentage or else everyone who bought one would be up in arms

6K miles and zero vibration (or hood flutter or undue wind noise). This photo is from yesterday on my way over the App Gap to ski at Sugarbush. Really like the truck!

No vibration issues for me so far. I just got back from a 700 mile round trip, 40% interstate 70-80mph and the rest on really curvy secondary mountain roads in North Carolina/Tennessee. Lots of acceleration and braking and turning for miles. I feel that the truck performed very well, no noises or vibration issues. I came to the GX from a Tesla Model S Plaid, which drove pretty differently :), but even so I found driving the truck pleasant.

I had a Tesla S, can imagine what the acceleration was in the Plaid!
Pardon the off topic here, but it was really amazing. It made merging onto the interstate or passing trivial!
The first time on a safe spot that I tried flooring it from a stop I felt like I was falling off a cliff.

Just hit 9K miles and no vibrations at all. Have very slight hood flutter which doesn't bother me at all. Back sub woofer is worthless, but the best thing is I am averaging 20.1 mpg. I keep the instantaneous bar mph graph in the upper left hand corner of gauges. Iv'e learned to modulate the accelerator pedal to the meter. Took some getting used to but works like a champ. 30% highway, 70 city driving.

I have a plaid too, I love it, I had to put on after market carbon rotors though, the OEM ones were shot after a few hundred miles

The GX driver aids, remote start / climate control, and digital cluster, infotainment system, etc feel so out dated and honestly user hostile after becoming pretty acquainted with the Plaid, even though the model year GX is 3 years newer (my plaid is a 2021)

I dislike how the plaid runs out of power as the battery gets lower and lower, I end up getting to a super charger at 5%, even in drag strip mode, car feels like it has under 300hp

My GX seems to only go ~110mph or so

Took delivery of an OT in Oct. Now have over 6k miles. What seems odd with mine is sometimes I have the vibration and other times not. Over New Years I drove from Colo Springs to Tucson. I noticed driving out of Colo Springs, the vibration was pretty noticeable around 70 to 75 mph as has been the case since I got it. If I noticed that when I drove at 80 mph, it smoothed up. I stopped in Albuquerque to eat and afterwards when I got on the interstate, it was vibrating badly at 60 to 65 mph like it never has before. So I accelerated to 80 for awhile and then the bad vibes at the lower speeds returned to normal vibrations. I suspected at the time that the BFG KO3 tires may have had a temp flat spot formed while eating. But throughout the rest of the trip, I never experienced that bad vibration again even after similar stops from interstate speeds to eat. It did seem coming home that the vibes weren't as bad. In the past, I have had two 4Runners (4th and 5th Gen) dnd never had this kind of vibration. In summary, the vibration comes and goes. Puzzling to say the least. I will soon be replacing the rear springs with heavier Dobinson springs as I am adding a Victory 4x4 rear bumper with spare tire carrier and will be towing a 5000 lb off-road camp trailer. Curious to see if these changes affect the vibration experience. (BTW, changing out the stock Toyos that came with the OT with the KO3s Load Range E tires did not affect my vibration experience - tires are not the cause IMHO)
