GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

For those who are going to 35's, and then also steel bumpers, has anybody asked the bumper fabricators if they could design something that deletes the stock hitch receiver (and has a new one of its own) to make more room for a larger spare, and then you can maybe get a 35x10.5x17 spare from Kenda Tire? I think they may be the only tire company out there that has a 35" tire that is less than 11.5 inches wide? I would think there would be play in there to move it rearwards enough if the hitch receiver was not there, but I have not dropped the spare yet to look. Here is Kenda link:
Automotive Tires, Passenger Car Tires, Light Truck Tires, UHP Tires | Automotive | Kenda Tires | Klever R/T

As a side note, another thing I'd like to see on these aftermarket bumpers is a relocation of the trailer hitch plugs!!!

That’s actually a really good shout, the trailer hitch relocation. 👍👍👍

Any issues with rubbing?
Nope. No issues whatsoever.

Looks good! Maybe I'll start with this instead of getting new rims. Thanks again!
thats what I said too. this was the "cheapest" upgrade, and I don't hate the rims so I'll likely do some other stuff first. I also read that these are forged and made by Rays, so thats kind of cool.

Just swapped out the standard 22" wheels for a new winter wheel/tire set. I went with 20 x 9 Niche Vice wheels with a +30 offset, wearing Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 tires measuring 275/55R20. The ride is very smooth which I expected over the lower profile stock tires.

Nice! Just got the 20 x 9 Niche Vice wheels on mine with 275/55R20XL Toyo Open Country AT III's

Here is the side view of my truck with Westcott lift, +35mm offset Method 703s, and 35x12.5x17 Toyo AT3s at the manufacturer's specified 35 psi.

So with 11.5 tires and 35mm offset, picture my side view with the tire tucked inboard a 1/2 inch (your 11.5 would be 1 inch narrow, thus 1/2 inch per side. It would be a negligible difference.

If you are poked 10mm farther outboard with a +25mm offset, that's a bit less than 1/2 inch, so it should look essentially the same as my setup. You'll be a few mm inboard of mine, all else being equal. Again, negligible.

Prepare to be happy, you'll like the Westcott treatment!

Gram Lights Tranx - Overseas (17x8 ET+20) - 35x11.5R17 Wildpeak AT4W. Definetely need to do all the mods that Wescott Design recommends to fit 35's. Brake calipers had to be grinded down in certain areas to clear calipers from rubbing. This is without the lifting colars.

Sorry, to be clear, they didn't clear before or after the lift? 17x8's were rubbing on the calipers?
