GX550 Seat Config details

Hi, ML22 here. I am from Calgary, Alberta. I have never owned a Lexus before, but the GX550 has a grip on me. My deposit is in and the waiting game begins. I am curious - with the 6 seat configuration, does anyone know if the 2nd row seats will fold forward in a similar way as they do in the 7 seat config?

The OT+ without the third row is my cup of tea! I think my wife and I could sleep in the back if necessary.... Love the extra storage area too.

I would love to know the measurement of the length of the OT+ with the back seats folded up. A picture would be great so we could see how level the area is for sleeping. Thanks, Gunner

Thanks Supersix. If this is the same in the OT model it looks like it should be flat and long enough to sleep in.

It looks like you could get more space in the overtrail trim to sleep by having the seats folded down and then building some type platform or shelf to make it flat. Similar to the trim with the third tow. When the seats are tumbled forward, they appear to take up a lot of space. This is with the third row, but it will give you a better view of the 2nd row up.

I've seen the OT in person with seat up and down. There's a slight drop in the front with the folded. It's close to a flat design but not quite. Not a big deal with some birch wood and some handy tools.

Is this the the 550? It look like a photo of the older GX, but I could be wrong. The reason for saying that this photo compared to the other photos, the rear section looks much shorter in depth.

The older GX had a refrigerator door and not the swing-up door. So this should be the GX 550 OT.

Good point. This is a big issue for those that may need storage and use the third row.
