Overtrail 1" Suspension Lift

Iā€™m guessing itā€™s more about bench racing in magazine comparison than anything.

A way to print better off road capability stats while changing almost nothing.

1ā€ suspension lift isnā€™t going to change much, and there are other much more impactful changes you could chase if you want to improve capability.

The one thing different between the different variations is that the Overtrails have EKDSS.
I wonder if that's one of the reasons for the 1" lift only on the Overtrails.

Thats a weird question, for one what problems do Overtrails have and what kind of problems can a 1inch lift solve. Still same approach/departure angles
Not a weird question. Read the Overtrail Vibration thread. Lexus has been pretty consistently saying that "these trucks just ride like this" to all the folks who have brought them in for ride quality and/or vibration issues. If they add a lift, then they would likely use a different spring and shock. In theory, they could redesign the new suspension to be softer in the ride zone. On the flip side, I am not convinced the ride quality issues are indeed caused by the shocks alone. I think it's the eKDSS or something else with the frame and how it transfers the vibrations into the cab.

Ahh, are we on to something here?

'something else..' perhaps the Toyo AT tires the culprit?

The 8.x inch ground clearance of '24 GX is on lowish side; especially, if trim name is Overtrail. My 5th gen 4unner has approx 9.6"(stock). So I definitely can see Lexus increasing height for due cause.

What's interesting, the '25 GX overtrail is slated to have onboard air compressor and prewired aux switches as standard equipment.

I think this quote above is the chief reason for the 1" lift.

Ground clearance is not just tied to higher suspension. What is the lowest point on these trucks? Typically itā€™s the differential. Springing the truck higher wonā€™t lift the diff, only taller tires will.
Itā€™s hilarious how few people understand this

Iā€™m curious. Will they get the compressor, or the pre wiring for the compressorā€¦

Also suspect theyā€™re just throwing slight stiffer springs in there to raise the ride and inch. I highly doubt theyā€™d redesign the front end for suchā€¦
