Front Bumper $900, full hood $600 and mirrors $100 each. This is from Bros San Diego. The first bid I got was $1500 just for the front bumper and partial hood. Does this sound in range? Thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

pricing is location and talent dependent. what material are they using? I got the whole GX done in Xpel Ultimate for $4000 in Los Angeles. Full front for me would have been $1800 (bumper, fenders, full hood, headlights and side mirrors). No A-pillars or roof in the quote I was given. The grill was not included

whatever you do, stop by and check out their work to see if they are using precut template kits or using a full sheet and custom cut for your car. Make sure edges are tucked. There should be minimal seams on the GX.

I got quotes much less and much more (some warranted and some not), but It's all in the small details

I stopped by one shop that was wrapping a Cybertruck and it has some sharp edges on the corner. The material was not cleanly cut at the corners and at some point it will invite moisture under the material and start lifting.

Got full front including entire hood ,front painted parts, fenders and mirrors with kavaca from Ceramic pro (12 yr warranty). Then got whole car ceramic pro coating including all windows and rims with lifetime warranty. $1800. ( I have to take it in yearly and for about $300 they will completely detail and recoat areas that need recoating). Warranty is nationwide with any Ceramic Pro dealer. I’m very happy with it .

I think that's a pretty good deal. I'm getting my full front PPF done today at a local shop. My truck was fully treated with Simonize Glass (Ceramic) coating when I got it. I like the coating. It makes it real easy to clean.

Hey Doc. I'm in Los Angeles too. Would you mind sharing the info on the shop you went to? Thanks in advance!

Ask for Mike , the owner. Tell him Bob sent you. They have very high customer rating.

Was just quoted a dealer installed paint protection film (not sure of the manufacturer) from a dealer around the Atlanta area who shall remain anonymous for $10,000. Needless to say we walked away. We had the 3M film on our 2014 4 runner and were not happy with it.

It was a white 4 Runner, so there was always a dirt line along the trailing edge that could not be removed. Then dark spots began showing up between the film and the paint. After having it removed after 8 years the edge with the dirt had begun etching into the paint. The Lexus dealer in Atlanta was a complete rip off. After paying what we did 10 years ago, I knew prices had not gone up that much. The problems we had may not be as prominent on a darker color.

I don't think that was the 3M materials fault. Any new install you do should wrap the edges so that doesn't happen

dealers typically use pre-cut kits (cheaper labor to install) that leave a lot of the edges exposed.

Thanks for the feed back. I just went with the front bumper, Hood and mirrors. First time I got PPF. Not sure I’ll do it again.

The leading edge was wrapped along the hood front. The trailing edge had nothing to wrap around since it was only 6" wide from hood front to the trailing edge. Today's materials are probably much more durable.
