I currently have the OEM sliders on my OT, however I'm interested in any potential aftermarket options that have a step for easier entry/exit. I'm hoping this post can serve as a place where others who are interested in the options can come here to help narrow down their options. Feel free to add links of others you are looking at or as they become available for purchase!

NYTOP: 2024-Current Lexus GX550/Toyota Land Cruiser Rock Sliders — NYTOP | Not Your Typical Original Parts

I don’t really like the look of the Victory and no one seems to know anything about NYtop, so I am waiting. Dissent off-road is supposed to be going out soon. Probably more soon.

Victory sliders require drilling which I'm not keen to do. I'll take a look at NYTop, however. I'm patiently waiting for other options as well.

Dissent told me they will probably have a working prototype in November. They needed to get their hands on a GX550 because there are slight differences from the new Land Cruiser.

I want to call out the NYTop WILL NOT fit on GX550 premium or luxury trims. I called them and they said they the only way any of these aftermarket's work is with drilling and they're not willing to procedure something that is not really DIY. SO if you have a Prem or Lux do not buy NYTOP.

Hi, getting my OT+ Tuesday, coming with running boards. I'd like to put proper rock sliders on it, but also want a step. The NYTOP and soon to be coming Dissent ones seem to have the relatively plain shape with flat top step that I like and also appear to be real sliders. Has anyone use NYTOP or Dissent before on a GX or Land Cruiser?

Hi, here is link to their page that has the sliders for the LC250. They told me via an email that they are working on confirming fit for a GX550OT+.

One thing that is important also is confirmation that you can use the slider as a lift point if needed. The Dissent site says yes to that I believe, waiting for word from NYTOP on that. I assume the answer will be yes. EDIT: NYTOP fellows just told me that their rock rails are definitely ok for lifting purposes as needed.

Dissent told me the same thing back in late October. Tired of waiting....

Westcott has sliders/steps available for the GX550. They are not as "plain" as the ones from Dissent but they look like they have good, flat steps. Westcott's price is also much better than Dissent. I really just want a plain, simple, flat step with none of the jazz that all these companies feel a need to put on their stuff. Also, can't Dissent take a decent, simple photo of their product? My neck hurts from trying to level out the crooked dipshit ticktock photos.

:)
I like the simple ones too. The NYTOP ones I think look ok. They have a bit of a pattern in the step, but it doesn't show weld marks, etc, which I don't like. If I hear some positive comments about NYTOP here I'll probably order theirs.

The NYTOP ones are nice and simple too. I wonder if you could just leave their goofy triangle top trim piece off? Just put a piece of grip tape across the entire flat top step area? That triangular trim piece is just going to hold dirt - you'll have a row of dust/dirt-filled triangles marching down each side.

I watched an LC250 build video on YouTube. The LC is on 38" tires, sea foam green and was tested on the Rubicon by Dissent owner. I that video he noted sliders for the GX550 would likely be very similar other than clearing some eKDSS stuff. What I did like is they are rugged and can be removed to repaint by sliding off from the frame mount brackets. Making repainting or even replacing a possibility. Either way a proper flat step slider is better for most use cases.

just remove that piece then and grip tape it :)

Getting crushed by the lack of compatibility with premium/lux trim models... has anyone found a solution to that... besides "buy an Overtrail?" 😂

I like Westcott's simple design for sure

Looks like a show stopper if you were using to the fullest. Also the single wall may be a issue as well. They do look to give good clearance under the step part. Likely ok for most. I have time to see what the market presents. As noted before, glad to see options early in the GX launch.
