Is phone in car? If so it may be alerting you that the car isn’t locked & to check for phoneDoes anyone know why sometimes the car will beep once and other times it will beep several times when locking? Confirmed all doors are firmly closed.
Thought about that, but phone wasn’t ever in car.Is phone in car? If so it may be alerting you that the car isn’t locked & to check for phone
windows or moonroof open?Does anyone know why sometimes the car will beep once and other times it will beep several times when locking? Confirmed all doors are firmly closed.
Nope. Neither.windows or moonroof open?
It will beep 8 times if you have previously opened either back door, to remind you that you might have a baby back there that you forgot about. There’s a way to turn that off, but even after that, I still find that it beeps sometimes. Assuming there is another reason, or reasons, for all the beeping. Hoping to get all this mess turned off soon. Planning to get CARISTA to do that, but they do t have the 550 listed yet as supported vehicles.Does anyone know why sometimes the car will beep once and other times it will beep several times when locking? Thank you! This makes sense. Better to have that feature than not, I guess. It will beep 8 times if you have previously opened either back door, to remind you that you might have a baby back there that you forgot about. hopefully more features get added on to Carista once it is officially supported. The only dings that can change right now are seat belt remindersIt will beep 8 times if you have previously opened either back door, to remind you that you might have a baby back there that you forgot about. I also just noticed that it will also beep 8 times (i think it was 8) if you leave the vehicle running and get out and walk away.Thank you! This makes sense. Better to have that feature than not, I guess.
Yup. Noticed that as well. The engine is so quiet…one time I thought I had shut it off after a drive and didn’t. Was walking away and the car started beeping.I also just noticed that it will also beep 8 times (i think it was 8) if you leave the vehicle running and get out and walk away.
This happens to me in my Silverado with the 6.2l. I clearly need a louder exhaust!Yup. Noticed that as well. The engine is so quiet…one time I thought I had shut it off after a drive and didn’t. Was walking away and the car started beeping.

Lexus does issue OTA updates. As to whether the GX will be getting any, only Lexus can say. Here's a video by Lexus describing the OTA update process. Will the GX be getting OTA updates to the operating system? I've been curious if we can expect updates to flow without going to the dealer, where they may patch some bugs or improvements (or even new features).

YW. I don't even have my GX yet - still on the waiting list. And this will also be my first Lexus, but my parents have had 3 Lexuses so I'm familiar with them.Nice thanks for the details. This is my first Lexus and wasn't sure if they did OTA.
Agreed. Personally I'm just hoping for some sort of quick setting page for the massage seats. But even that may be too much. That said. If you are expecting Tesla like major changes you will be disappointed.
Lexus isn’t really trying to be bleeding edge. OTA updates are going to be reserved for minor changes that are likely unnoticeable .
