Can we hear from OT & OT+ owners who DON'T have vibration / ride issues?

No vibration on my OT with the OEM roof rack or with the Victory 4x4 roof rack I installed. Took delivery in August. Have 9000 miles in January.

Thanks everyone. As someone with an OT allocation coming up in spring of '25 this is encouraging! I was begiining to re-consider a Defender.

Keep the feedback coming!
OT purchased in Nov. Had minor vibration for the first several hundred miles, but after a trip from KY to PA + more miles, it's vibration free. I have what I would consider minor hood flutter. Have the roof rack. Now at 3292 miles.

I typically have it in Comfort mode.

I have the OT and reading the forum I often feel like I somehow got the unicorn GX with zero vibration, but I know it's just that we don't have a thread labeled "Tell us all about how smooth your drive was today", or at least we didn't until now. I drove highway and city everyday, and the way this thing goes from 40 to 80 getting on the highway is just fantastic. It drives so smooth and easy that it feels like cheating. I hope Lexus fixes the issue for those impacted, but if not it might be worth spending some money to get some nice King's coilovers and just replace whatever in the suspension is causing the issue.

I got my OT+ recently and have only driven it about 190 miles. Off the dealer lot I was getting a lot of harshness from the rear over small imperfections on the road. No "vibrations" because it was clear it was just the suspension transmitting through bumps in the road. After several rides and since the 160 mile mark, the ride quality has significantly improved and is much smoother now so I'm guessing the suspension needed some miles to break in. I'm still getting some wiggle/jiggles mainly from the rear, but very minor overall.

Mine does that too. IMHO that's just normal for body on frame truck with overload springs in the rear (OT trims which is one of the reasons they tow more). On smooth pavement you shouldn't be getting any vibrations though.

We have 3800 miles Overtrail base, no vibrations, no roof rack, minor brake squeal in reverse when wet conditions. Love the suspension IMHO the suspension is made to overcome jarring and still be road smooth and you can tell that on undulations or large bumps which are amazingly transferred to a gentle rocking in the ride. Kind of soaks up the worst of road holes. do not like the tires but again I think they were made for going out to the back road and not so much for the asphalt. slight hood flutter but I do not mind that. Drive mainly in ECO mode and I do not get on the turbo not needed!!. Check the oil a lot and it is still very light and clean. This thing could last a long time.

Just to clear things up, this is EXACTLY what the ‘vibration’ complaint is. It’s appears that they all ride like this, but people have different interpretations of it.

I don't think it's the same. Because mine seems to only be over certain imperfections on the road now. Some bumps I don't feel anymore. Smooth otherwise when the road is smooth. Again, it was harsh at first but has gotten much better with miles.

The vibration is intermittent & only appears over minor road imperfections. Otherwise, smooth.

OT with 9500 miles, on road and off road with Westcott leveling lift, no vibrations. It drives smother than the older 2013 GX base I have. I just have the morning squeal with the brake and waiting on Lexus with the parts on order.

OT+ since early Sept. 3K miles. No vibrations. Just the occasional squeaky brakes and primarily on reverse. Light hood flutter on highway but I've trained my eye to not see it + not a lot of highway driving day to day. Came with the roof rack but I don't find it noisy.

Hood vibration, fluttering:
Was wondering if Lexus has changed the hood underside insulation on more recent production? My OverTrail states production Oct ‘24 (arrived at dealer like mid-Dec).
I’ve attached a pic of my hood underside. I thought I saw pictures last fall that looked different.
Can some of you with earlier production dates confirm yours looks like mine? TIA.

My production date is Sep. '24 and my hood looks like yours.

Thanks JPE. I have very minor hood flutter. Do I need a special tool to safely pop those buttons loose?
I have some aerospace parts packing foam that I can trim to diff thickness, and would wrap them in metallic high temp tape and shove a few pieces into the voids. Thinking about it…

I have minor hood flutter too. But it's not enough to annoy me. Honestly I only notice it when I'm looking for it so I'm not too worried about trying to find a fix. I suspect any trim tool would be good enough to pop those button clips but I haven't done that myself.
