I've hired a flatbed to drive my GX around on back - seeing an improvement to about 16.1mpg. By the time I add in the driver wages and renting the truck - I can off set that with the dramatic fuel savings I'm seeing. A bit tough to get the truck into the garage at night - but thinking I could hire a contractor to help remodel the garage - again, fully funded with gas savings.
Wonder if I should try driving only down hill for October and compare the results?
Thank you for the heads up on those and no, ended up passing. I'm a bit of a gearhead and do pretty much everything on my own. I have a lift in my garage/shop and retired so it didn't have the same value proposition in my case.Very nice! Did you end up getting any of the warranties?
Love it. Humor is great. I get those recommendations from my wife all the time.
65/70 mph for 1400 hwy miles and roughly 50 city miles at 0-40 mph. Currently sitting at 21.1 mpg and has not been reset since picking it up new this past Thur.Could people please post speeds when talking about highway miles? There's a world of difference between 60mph and 85mph on fuel economy.
Your 101 loop is like being in a video game!I tried going about 75 - 77 on cruise control on the highway today for good mileage and I was a road hazard.
I’m curious for those who have bigger tire diameters than stock how do you monitor your speed? I have been using Waze/iPhone speedometer app but I’m not sure how accurate those are.I managed about 15.2 mpg on the way back from Havasu, all highway. With my 7% correction it should be about 16.
